JTL - Job Time & Location
VisionTime Job Time & Location (JTL) is designed for use by employees to record time spent on jobs. The programme can also be used to record the time employees spend working at locations remote from your workplace. Now managers can keep control of costs on jobs, projects and know exactly where employees are working - right now
The application works on PCs, Tablets, Mobile Phones and at the SuperGlass Time Terminal.
Employees can : a. record job and location times in real-time or where necessary retrospectively b. request time off and view holidays remotely
VisionTime JTL eliminates paper systems and can be used by specific or by all employees. VisionTime JTL is suitable for cost management, customer projects, employee productivity schemes, work planning, time recording and capturing of data for payroll.
When clocking-in as normal, the employee simply selects the job or location from a drop down list.
The employee can clock into the job/location in real-time, retrospectively or even in advance. So, for instance, if employees forget to make a real-time job time clocking they can post job times to the past. In situations such as booking a meeting as a job, this can be done in advance.
Job and location times can be clocked and recorded separately to "normal" working hours i.e those hours which have a focus on flexitime or time worked for payment.
JTL eliminates unnecessary manual or paper based systems for recording the times and costs of jobs or time worked at locations.
JTL Duty Manager is a variation of the JTL module which enables employees to see a list of upcoming designated jobs and duty times on TV screens. Time is then recorded against those duties by the employee clocking at a time terminal or using any one of 30 methods including mobile phones and PCs. Employees can even view their duty list via a PC from home. JTL Duty Manager allows managers to keep track of how many employees have been allocated to each project and to make changes where appropriate.
JTL Duty Manager keeps a register of each person's speciality skills or special equipment needed, ensuring that the right match is efficiently allocated to the job in question.
Supervisors can be notified automatically of a non-arrival within a chosen length of time after the designated starting time. This means that they can immediately allocate a different staff member with the appropriate skills to replace the originally designated employee.
Also in an emergency, a real time list of who is present and where they are can be viewed.
London Borough of Lewisham uses JTL Duty Manager to ensure that the special needs bus service runs on time even when the originally scheduled driver or special needs attendant is late or sick.
