Role Description – Business Analyst

This is a full-time role. As the BA, you will be a central part of the team, involved in the foundational steps of a transformational project to build a new Azure cloud platform and application architecture to deliver a market leading SaaS application.

This is a truly exciting opportunity for a highly skilled, motivated and experienced business analyst. Quality assurance underpins operational excellence – from design through requirements, develop, test and to the ultimate delivery.

There will be challenging functional and non-functional objectives to ensure long enduring operational excellence across extensibility, reliability, resilience and security.

You will take a central role in small strategic team reporting directly to the Flextime CTO. This project team will work with external partners to provide upfront expertise to facilitate better decisions in less time both at UX and system functional levels. The project ownership and delivery remain entirely with Flextime. You will work with subject matter experts (SME) to elicit business process knowledge, interpret the voice of the customer and become the go-to SME.

Your duties and activities

Work within the transformation project team to interpret, document and proof business requirements

Produce high quality Business Requirement Specifications.

Create Highly visual designs and specifications to include – user journeys, user cases and business rules.

Be customer value focused and think and work visually

Propose alternative viewpoints solutions and work with the development team.

Provide feedback to all the different stakeholders

Be a quality advocate. Be the first QA gateway

Participate regularly in the analysis and resolution of defects

Liaise with developers during the technical design and implementation phases to ensure common understanding, agreement and effective implementation of features.

Skills Must Haves

Academic qualifications at degree or higher level in a relevant domain

Excellent communicator & interpersonal skills; ability to communicate at all levels, fluent written and verbal English

5+ years’ experience in a Business Analyst or a similar role

Demonstrable proficiency using technology to get your work done – Visio, Excel and Word, PowerPoint, Wireframes, tell us about some new ones that you use

2+ years’ strong experience preparing and conducting requirements gathering workshops.

Skills Preferable

Business Analysis certification

Design Qualifications And Experience – UX/UI, Process Design

QA certification

Project Management Experience

Experience working within an MVP environment

Strong experience in User Accepting Testing, Agile and waterfall methodologies.

The role will report directly to the MD with a lot of support from   and collaboration with the internal team.   The ideal   candidate will enjoy the consultation side of working with clients as well as the selling which in return builds strong long term relationships and high value sales.

Responsibilities:

  • Proactive new business generation throughout Ireland from initial lead generation through to completed sale
  • Collaborate with internal colleagues for product development and marketing
  • Attend trade conferences and with aim to keep knowledge levels high, networking and building relations
  • Work with internal team to develop tender applications across wide range of public sector
  • Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline
  • Manage existing client relationships for growth through exemplary customer service and up-selling new products and services
  • Develop and maintain a high level of product knowledge across the range of company products and services
  • Provide accurate and timely reports on sales activities to the Managing Director and maintain accurate CRM database
  • Identify opportunities for new services, products or distribution channels that aid company growth

Experience and Skills:

  • Minimum of five years field sales experience
  • Experience of negotiating high value deals in a B2B setting
  • Experience of working within wide range of business size and sectors
  • 3rd Level Qualification in Business/Marketing or relevant technical discipline preferred
  • Proven track record of meeting/exceeding sales targets
  • Desirable experience in selling to public body organisations
  • Highly motivated with the ability to work independently
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
